We are looking for an experienced Head of Equity Investments to lead our investment strategy, manage high-value portfolios, and drive long-term financial growth through informed investment decisions and market expertise.

Job Overview

The Head of Equity Investments will be responsible for developing and executing the company's equity investment strategy while overseeing portfolio management, market research, financial analysis, and investment decision-making. The successful candidate will lead a team of investment professionals, identify new investment opportunities, manage investment risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

This is a senior leadership role requiring extensive experience in capital markets, portfolio management, and financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement long-term equity investment strategies aligned with the organization's financial objectives.

• Manage and optimize equity investment portfolios to maximize returns while maintaining acceptable risk levels.

• Lead market research, financial modeling, company valuations, and investment analysis.

• Identify investment opportunities across listed equities and emerging sectors.

• Monitor financial markets, economic indicators, and industry trends to support investment decisions.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, brokers, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing investment team.

• Prepare investment proposals, portfolio reviews, and performance reports for executive management.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, corporate governance, and internal investment policies.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to establish investment objectives, KPIs, and capital allocation strategies.

• Conduct risk assessments and implement portfolio diversification strategies.

• Evaluate IPOs, private placements, strategic investments, and new financial products.

• Drive innovation in investment strategies through data analytics and technology.

• Represent the company in investor meetings, financial forums, and industry events.

Required Qualifications

• MBA in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Professional certifications such as CFA, CA, ACCA, FRM, or equivalent will be considered an advantage.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Equity Investments, Asset Management, Investment Banking, or Financial Services.

• At least 7 years of experience in a senior leadership or portfolio management role.

• Proven experience managing high-value investment portfolios.

• Strong knowledge of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), capital markets, equity valuation, and financial instruments.

• Excellent analytical, leadership, and strategic decision-making skills.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
