In Pakistan Gold Price Drop by Rs1,200 Per Tola

Gold Price Drop News:

The price of gold has dropped significantly in Pakistan. Gold dropped Rs1,200 to close at Rs498,962 a tola on 24-karat on April 23, 2026. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association claims that... This decrease comes after a long-term decreasing trend in global markets. where the price of an ounce of gold dropped by $12 to $4,766.

  • In keeping with their decline in the global market, Pakistani gold prices fell on Wednesday.

  • After falling by Rs1,200 during the day, the price of gold per tola on the local market hit Rs498,962.

  • The worldwide price of gold dropped from $12 to $4,766 per ounce (with a $20 premium).

Key Details of the Gold Price Drop (As of April 23, 2026):

In a similar vein, 10-gram gold dropped by Rs1,029 before being sold for Rs427,779. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) shared prices. After falling by Rs1,000 during the day, the price of gold per tola hit Rs500,162 on Tuesday.

  • Price per Tola (24K): Decreased by Rs 1,200 to Rs 498,962.

  • 10 Gram Cost (24K): Dropped to Rs427,779, a decrease of Rs1,029.

  • International Spot Cost: Dropped to $4,766 per ounce, a $12 decrease.

  • Prices for silver: Decreased as well, with the price per tola falling by Rs34 to Rs8,324.

Reasons for the Decline:

1) Global Market Trends: A wider decrease in international bullion markets is the primary cause of the decline.

2) Geopolitical Factors: Since the start of the dispute, gold has lost almost 10%, and it has lately lost more than 2% as prospects for peace negotiations between Iran and the US have fluctuated.

3) Market Sentiment: A robust US labor market and changing Federal Reserve policies have put pressure on the market, resulting in a decline in the demand for safe-haven assets.

4) Local Adjustments: In comparison to international rates, local pricing include a $20 premium.

After a combined decline of more than Rs6,000 per tola over the previous few days, this pattern suggests ongoing instability. This is due to the fact that rates are regularly updated by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association in response to worldwide movements.

The price of silver:

Yes, silver and gold are both trending downhill. The local price is now Rs. 8,324 per tola with the decrease of Rs. 34.

Silver is now under pressure from the same forces that frequently make news for gold. In the meanwhile, the price of gold is mostly influenced by the reduction of geopolitical tensions. In addition, the expectation of U.S. economic statistics may prolong the duration of higher interest rates.

Geological Gold Deposits:

A significant high-grade gold deposit near Attock, Punjab, has lately been proven in terms of natural resources. This data was verified on April 30, 2026, when the final report was due. Additionally, the Chagai District (Reko Diq and Saindak) and other northern areas have the other significant reserves.

Final Thought:

In conclusion, lower geopolitical tensions and the expectation of US economic data are the main causes of today's decline in gold and silver prices.
